AppTek, a leading global company specializing in AI and ML technologies for speech and language processing, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Text-to-Speech (TTS) Scientist to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the cutting-edge field of speech synthesis in the context of automatic dubbing, focusing on a variety of topics such as voice conversion, cross-lingual voice cloning, emotional text-to-speech, cross-lingual emotion transfer, prosody alignment, and other related areas.

Responsibilities:

• Research, design, and develop state-of-the-art text-to-speech systems in the context of automatic dubbing solutions.
• Explore innovative techniques in voice conversion, cross-lingual voice cloning, and emotional text-to-speech to enhance the quality and versatility of our speech synthesis solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers and engineers from other fields such as ASR, MT or NLU, to drive the advancement of TTS technologies and their integration into AppTek's product offerings.
• Stay updated with on the latest developments in the TTS field and contribute to the scientific community through publications and presentations.

Qualifications:

• PhD student or post-doctoral researcher in the field of speech synthesis, TTS, voice conversion, or related areas. Strong candidates with a master's degree and significant industry experience will also be considered.
• Solid foundation in machine learning and deep learning techniques, particularly as applied to speech and audio processing.
• Extensive experience with TTS systems, including building and optimizing neural network architectures for high-quality synthesis.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in ML, such as Python, and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Familiarity with speech databases, language resources, and text corpora for training and evaluation purposes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and propose novel solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
