Computer Assisted Interview & Training System TALK2ME is a software suite for multilingual interviews. Embedded with AppTek’s Automatic Speech Recognition and Machine Translation engines, the system captures each speaker’s dialogue and creates searchable metadata, as well as a translation of the transcribed foreign dialogue of the interviewee. Both the interviewee and the interviewer can see each other’s transcript and translation on their screen in real time. Functionality A Training or Quality Assurance Manager can use TALK2ME to capture real time transcripts of an entire interview session, play back and review it at a later time, read the transcript for any point within that interview, search and retrieve a particular section. Professionals can benefit from TALK2ME by being able to annotate critical moments in an interview, review visual and spoken interactions, see real time transcripts and translations, and have the ability to play them back at a later time if needed. Moreover, it enhances their interviewing capabilities when dealing with a foreign interviewee by having access to the translations of the questions they pose and the foreign language answers. The software is used for validation and textual documentation.TALK2ME Operation TALK2ME uses AppTek’s Automatic Speech Recognition engine to capture the interviewer’s, interpreter’s and interviewee’s dialogue and creates a transcript for it, displaying the conversations on-screen by person and synchronizing the dialogue to audio and video. It then uses AppTek’s Machine Translation to provide full translated, consolidated transcripts for review, search and retrieval of valuable information from the whole interview session or across interviews stored on the network.Additionally, the system is able to provide playback capabilities for any of the personnel involved in the interview, not only to be able to hear, read and see the interview but also to validate any foreign language question and answers.
