MCLEAN, Va. ( December, 3rd 2009) – AppTek, a leading provider of human language technology software and solutions, had its Chief Technology Officer, Steve, Cook, discuss best practices and development of next generation technologies to expand translation memory usage and capabilities at the NIST translation Workshop. The goal of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Translation Memory Workshop was to bring together users, developers and researchers of Translation Memory to engage the community on current practices, successes, barriers and future directions. AppTek’s Chief Technology Officer, Steve Cook participated in a panel discussing what metrics are currently used to validate performance and outlined plans for expanding on current best practices to drive the next generation of Translation Memory technology.
